The essentials about Student Status.

aGYM Student Status is our student discount: you get aGYM Essential for €20 instead of the regular €30 per month, for up to 4 years from your first activation. Essential includes all gyms, monthly cancellation and no signup fees or extra charges.

Students with an email address from a public or state-recognized university in Germany, including universities of applied sciences and dual universities. Private addresses like Gmail or GMX are not accepted. Your application requires your first name, last name and university email address. If your university email address is not accepted, contact our support with the name of your university.

Only a limited number of students can have active aGYM Student Status at the same time. Applying does not guarantee approval or start a membership. If no Student Status is available right now, try again later.

We check your university email address and availability. You see the result within a few seconds. If approved, you have 48 hours to activate your Student Status in the app and start aGYM Essential if you do not have it yet. Use the same university email address as in your application. It becomes the email address of your aGYM account.

Yes. Apply for Student Status here and activate it in the app within 48 hours. You pay €20 starting with your next payment. The current month stays unchanged.

If you do not activate your Student Status in time, your approval expires. You must apply for Student Status again. Availability is limited, so we cannot guarantee approval again.

No. Student Status replaces your invite discount, whether you invited friends or were invited. The people you share it with then pay more again. Before you confirm, the app shows you who is affected, and you can keep your invite discounts instead. While your Student Status is active, you cannot invite anyone or use invite codes.

Your Student Status and €20 price apply until your membership ends, for up to 4 years from your first activation. It also ends when you are no longer a student, switch to aGYM Free or change your account email address to one that is not a university email address. To return at the student price, apply for Student Status again while you are still a student. Approval is not guaranteed.
