Student Status Terms and Conditions

aGYM, A Corporation GmbH

As of: October 2026

This English translation is provided for information purposes only. Only the German version of these Student Status Terms and Conditions (Bedingungen des Student Status) is legally binding. In the event of any discrepancy between the English and German versions, the German version shall prevail.

1. Scope

1.1

With Student Status, students pay a reduced price for the aGYM Essential membership ("Student Price"). These Terms govern who receives Student Status, how long it applies, and when it ends. The contracting partner is A Corporation GmbH ("aGYM"), Westendhof 10, 45143 Essen.

1.2

These Terms supplement the General Terms and Conditions of aGYM ("GTC"). Expressions such as "customer", "membership", "App", and "Billing Period" have the same meaning as in the GTC. In all other respects, the GTC apply. In the event of any conflict, these Terms take precedence.

2. Eligibility

2.1

Student Status can be granted to anyone who
(a) is enrolled at a public or state-recognized university in Germany. This also includes universities of applied sciences (Fachhochschulen) and private, state-recognized universities,
(b) has received their own official student email address from this university ("University Email Address"), and
(c) uses a University Email Address of a university that aGYM supports. aGYM determines which universities it supports.

2.2

Email addresses for staff, lecturers, or alumni do not qualify for Student Status. This also applies if the App recognizes them as a University Email Address.

2.3

The number of places is limited. There is no entitlement to Student Status or to an approval.

3. Application and Activation

3.1

The customer applies for Student Status at agym.co/student with their name and University Email Address.

3.2

If aGYM accepts the application ("Approval"), the Approval is valid for 48 hours from the application. Within this period, the customer must, in the App,
(a) set the University Email Address as the email address of their customer account and verify it,
(b) activate Student Status, and
(c) start the aGYM Essential membership if they do not have it yet.

3.3

Applying again during a running Approval does not extend the period. If the customer lets the period expire, the Approval lapses. The customer can then apply for Student Status again. A new Approval is not guaranteed.

3.4

While Student Status is in place, the University Email Address is the email address of the customer account. aGYM uses it to communicate with the customer (Section 9 of the GTC).

4. Student Price

4.1

With active Student Status, the customer pays the Student Price for aGYM Essential. aGYM shows it in the App before activation and in the order summary. It is currently €20 instead of €30 per month, including VAT.

4.2

The Student Price applies only to aGYM Essential. It does not apply to Freemium Use (Section 5 of the GTC).

4.3

If the customer starts aGYM Essential with active Student Status, the Student Price applies from the first payment. If the customer already has aGYM Essential, it applies from the next payment. Amounts already paid are not refunded pro rata.

4.4

Student Status cannot be combined with the connection discount "Train together, save together". Activation dissolves all connections of the customer. The customer's previous connection partners then pay the price that applies without the connection with the customer and are informed of this. While Student Status is in place, the customer cannot enter into new connections.

5. Own University Email Address, One Customer Account

5.1

The customer may only use their own University Email Address. They may not use another person's address, not even with that person's consent.

5.2

A University Email Address can only establish Student Status for one customer account at a time. Variants of the same address count as one address, for example spellings with a "+" suffix or other domains of the same university. Student Status is tied to the customer account and is not transferable.

6. Proof of Enrollment

6.1

aGYM may at any time require the customer to prove their enrollment, for example with a current certificate of enrollment.

6.2

The customer must provide the proof within the reasonable period that aGYM sets in its request. If the customer does not provide it in time, aGYM may end Student Status.

7. Maximum Duration

7.1

Student Status ends no later than four years after its first activation. The four years count per customer account and per University Email Address. Whichever reaches four years first is decisive. Interruptions do not extend the period.

7.2

The customer must remove Student Status in the App as soon as they are no longer enrolled.

8. End of Student Status

8.1

Student Status ends if
(a) the customer removes it in the App,
(b) the aGYM Essential membership ends, for example through termination, a switch to Freemium Use, or because payments fail permanently,
(c) the customer changes the email address of their customer account to an address that is not a University Email Address under Section 2.1, or
(d) the maximum duration under Section 7.1 is reached.
A switch to another University Email Address does not end Student Status.

8.2

aGYM may end Student Status if
(a) the customer no longer meets the requirements under Section 2, in particular because they are no longer enrolled,
(b) the customer does not provide requested proof in time (Section 6),
(c) there is misuse under Section 9, or
(d) aGYM discontinues Student Status under Section 11.
aGYM informs the customer of this by email or in the App.

9. Misuse

9.1

Misuse exists in particular if the customer
(a) uses another person's University Email Address,
(b) provides false information, in particular about their enrollment,
(c) continues to use Student Status although they are no longer enrolled, or
(d) circumvents the restrictions under Section 5 or 7, for example with variants of an address or with multiple customer accounts.

9.2

In the event of misuse, aGYM may end Student Status with immediate effect. aGYM may also claim the difference between the Student Price and the regular price for the entire period in which the requirements were not met. aGYM may also terminate the membership without notice and exclude the customer indefinitely from all studios and the App (Ban under Sections 11.4 to 11.6 of the GTC).

10. Consequences of the End of Student Status

10.1

By activating, the customer expressly agrees that after Student Status ends, the regular price for aGYM Essential applies again from the next payment. The regular price is the price that aGYM shows next to the Student Price at activation, currently €30 per month. No further consent is required. Insofar as the return to the regular price is a price adjustment, this consent is also the express consent under Section 12.2 of the GTC. Later price adjustments are governed by Section 12 of the GTC.

10.2

Payments made before the end remain at the Student Price. Section 9.2 remains unaffected.

10.3

To receive the Student Price again, the customer must apply for Student Status again (Section 3). A new Approval is not guaranteed. The maximum duration under Section 7.1 continues to run.

11. Discontinuation of Student Status

11.1

aGYM may stop accepting new applications at any time.

11.2

aGYM may also discontinue Student Status for customers who already have it. aGYM announces this with reasonable notice by email and in the App.

11.3

In this case, the customer may, notwithstanding Section 11.1 of the GTC, terminate the membership with effect on the day on which the Student Price ends (special right of termination). The customer then does not pay the regular price.

12. Changes to These Terms

12.1

Sections 2.2 to 2.4 of the GTC apply accordingly to changes to these Terms.
